LAS VEGAS A Las Vegas casino is kicking off a new venue for the horsey set -- hoping it'll attract a new category of visitors. South Coast casino touts its new Equestrian and Events Center as the only large horse arena attached to a major hotel anywhere. An inaugural event -- the American Quarterhorse Association's Silver Dollar Circuit Show -- opens today. It was held last year in Reno. Casino owner Boyd Gaming Corporation figures those attending events at the 44-hundred seat, climate-controlled arena will also book stays at the 650-room hotel. Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
