Most of the major online poker websites in the industry are now facilitating an ingenious player protection product from QFX Software, a security and financial software group based in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Branded KeyScrambler, the software shield can be used on gaming at Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, PokerRoom, PartyPoker, UltimateBet Poker, Bodog Poker, Doyle's Room, Microgaming Network, 24h Poker, Carbon Poker, PlayersOnly Poker, Titan Poker, CD Poker, Hollywood Poker, and VC Poker, with a major upgrade released this week.

Online poker is one of the largest and fastest growing forms of gambling in the world and poker players' identities are frequently subject to online theft attempts by keyloggers, said a company spokesman. Using advanced keystroke encryption, KeyScrambler defeats both known and unknown keyloggers and works on computers that are already security compromised.

The product encrypts the user's keystrokes at the keyboard driver level and decrypts them within the protected applications, leaving keyloggers with only entirely indecipherable, encrypted keys to record.
